A rich new cheese which combines white stilton with Belgian chocolate is launching in the UK.

Called a chocolate whirl, it looks like a Swiss roll and has a slightly sweet taste.

The calorific treat contains 59 per cent white stilton, 11 per cent full fat Belgian chocolate and 28 per cent cream cheese.

It's on sale priced at £7.99 per kilo.

Tesco product development manager Katy Coles said the unusual mixture worked well together.

'Cheese and chocolate are two foods that people get very passionate about so we thought we'd combine them,' she said.

The cheese was made by stilton specialists Long Clawson Dairy in Nottinghamshire using milk from farms within a 12 mile radius.
