Are you getting the most from your chocolate fountain rental business or have you fallen into the category of what I've come to call, "drive by" fountain rentals. (rentals that drop a fountain off, turn it on a leave)?
[More:]
A few years back when a chocolate fountain was a brand new novelty, it didn't take much more than the fountain, some chocolate and a plate of cookies or fruit to please your patrons and stand out from the crowd of unlucky caterers who lacked this new attraction.
Times have changed and most professional caterers and party rental agents now offer commercial grade chocolate fountains as a perennial party feature.
In a business that is much about presentation as it is the quality of the product and service, a chocolate fountain rental has to offer more than just the equipment. They need to offer an "experience".
An experience will set you apart from those that just rent or provide the machine and chocolate. This philosophy also translates into higher fees for the caterer and an enhanced reputation.
I have made some suggestions in the past on how to improve your base fountain rental with the addition of a fruit tree display or similar enhancement.
What I'd like now is some feedback from the catering and chocolate fountain rental community.
If you have a feature that you'd like to share, post it here and I'll send you a FREE 2 lb bag of SF Signature Dark Chocolate!
