A new report issued by the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology summarizes studies presented at an international meeting of scientists last year in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Cocoa flavanol-based products are showing increasing relevance in health issues like heart disease and cancer. Particularly interesting is the Harvard study of two population groups of Kuna Indians and daily consumption of unprocessed flavanol-rich cocoa.
